A lesson in time.

They say that lessons sometimes come from the most unlikely teachers. In my case it was at the most unlikely time, or should i say "i just never saw it at the time". 

My grandmother learnt to sew at the young age of 12 years old, and she has been a seamstress ever since. She was inspired by the colourful flowers and the mountains that she called home many years ago in Greece. She loved the fact that she could design numerous outfits just by altering a piece of material. When I was young and running around her house, carefully sidestepping the sewing needles and pieces of material, my grandmother taught me the importance of creating my own designs. I sewed (not very well may I add) two pieces of material stuffed with other scrap material to make a teddy. But what I remember most now, although never saw it then, was my grandmother teaching me that to be creative is one thing, but to be patient and passionate at what you do is entirely another, and to be good at what you do, you need both.
